About the role
We are looking for an engineer to support the deployment of simulation infrastructure at large scale for our customers. You will work closely across engineering teams to ensure the operational success of our internal systems and customer deployments. At Applied, you will:
- Support system architecture, deployment, and maintenance of high availability distributed systems deployed to customer environments
- Build monitoring systems for deployed software and streamline incident response process
- Design systems to handle simulations at scale, architecting solutions to any bottlenecks that are encountered along the way
- Work on world-class solutions to the autonomy industry's leading infrastructure problems
We’re looking for someone who has:
- 2+ years of experience developing and deploying infrastructure for a large scale software product, on either public clouds (e.g. AWS, GCP, or Azure) or on-premise clusters
- Expertise with microservice or job orchestration frameworks, containerized systems, and big data management
- Experience working with containerization, cluster orchestration, or infrastructure management frameworks (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, or Terraform)
- 2+ years of coding experience from shell scripting (e.g., Bash) to higher-level languages (e.g., Python)
Nice to have:
- Experience with continuous integration systems (e.g. Jenkins, CircleCI, or Buildkite), self hosted version controls software (e.g. Gitlab, Github or Bitbucket), software build & test systems (e.g. Bazel or Make)
- Prior work in either autonomous vehicles or large scale simulation products
- MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent required
